Meet Genevieve Trousdale, Founder and Principal of Circa Genevieve ID
A Louisiana-born interior designer, Genevieve Trousdale’s finely-honed design sense was originally influenced by two generations of familial role models who shared her affinity for luxury design. Esteemed apprenticeships with celebrated grand dame designers Gerrie Bremermann in New Orleans and Suzanne Rheinstein in Los Angeles, influenced Ms. Trousdale to create an impressive, stand-out portfolio.
After earning an interior design degree at the University of Georgia, Genevieve rose through professional ranks quickly and worked with some of the industry’s leaders including Timothy Corrigan and Michael Berman. Her penchant for delivering inspired and inventive ideas while handling thousands of details and on assignment earned her opportunities to work on estates throughout Europe, the Middle East and North America. Today, her namesake design business, Circa Genevieve Interior Design, is based in Manhattan Beach, California in the South Bay of Los Angeles – and boasts clients globally.
Highly regarded for her sophisticated design sense, meticulous attention to detail, creative sourcing of one-of-a-kind pieces, and the ability to manage complex projects – Genevieve has gained the respect and admiration of the most discerning clients. Believing that interior design should be accessible for everyone, Genevieve equally enjoys developing inspired concepts for high-end, luxe interiors as she does working on more modest projects.
Genevieve’s experience led her to create a global membership organization, called Circaphiles, an elite, professional networking resource built for designers to network, source vendors and continue education.
Her commitment to elevating the industry’s reputation earned Genevieve a seat on the ICAA (Institute of Classical Art & Architecture) events committee which produces prolific educational programming.
In 2023, Genevieve was named by the LA Times in the Top 40 Under 40 interior designers in Los Angeles.

The Circa Genevieve Design Philosophy
Genevieve has conceived and successfully executed design visions including wildly imaginative interiors, residential minimal masterpieces and estates that seamlessly blend modern with traditional. She is guided by architecture, the location and is careful to never to impose her personal design styles. Genevieve is instead inspired by the environment and ideas derived from conversations with her clients.
“Bringing Heritage Home” defines the Circa Genevieve design philosophy and is incorporated into every project, no matter the style. Heirlooms and sentimental mementos with significant meaning are paramount in the process. These along with clients’ traditions, lineage and cultural lifestyle are all carefully considered and woven into Circa Genevieve visions and schemes. The ultimate goal is to create storied spaces that evoke conversations and in which clients and their friends and families feel pride, comfort and are inspired.
